Today is the first day of NCAA Tournament, fondly known as March Madness. I think this day should be a National Holiday. Schools and banks would close, delivery of mail would stop. Fans would gather in pubs, bars and restaurants to watch their favorite team.I think what lures me in every year is the enthusiasm of these players, playing their hearts out for their school. That's right for their school. They actually run down the court like time is of the essence, not like the NBA stars who almost walk down the court protecting their assets. Sure some players will be drafted by the NBA or a European League, and land a nice contract, but many will just go back to their average life.
This photo was taken this season at one the many UNLV games I attended at Thomas and Mack Arena. Congrats to Coach Krueger and the Rebels on an outstanding win today. I knew you could do it! Saturday will be a tough game against Kansas the #1 seed in the Midwest, but I know you can beat them!

Y'all need to take care of them Jayhawks.
A post after my own heart. The Final Four tournament is my favorite sporting event of the year.

Go Rebels! Good luck with KU
Today should be a national holiday. All the productivity in the office goes down the drain. We are all keeping up with the scores online and watching the last few minutes of every game. March Madness is where real playing happens, no contracts just pure skill, luck, and dexterity. This is where we watch what teams can really do, not the NBA which is governed with cash. Great Post and March Madness should be a national holiday.
