We had a great time, but the whole process was long. It moved pretty quick in the begining, but I was disappointed once we were in the studio, it took a long time. I thnk the production crew has a lot of kinks to work out. Let's Make A Deal will air it's first show on October 5th. I think we were show 14. I think it will take the cast and crew a few more episodes to work out the kinks and start moving quicker through the process.

So I met up Eva yesterday at Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon where we had a great time shooting Big Elvis, shooting photos that is. In this shot he is singing Suspicious Minds. He puts on a a great show and his voice is amazing he sounds just like the king. The other thing about Big Elvis is that he is 400lbs, and is half, yes I said half his size Congratulations on the major weight loss!
When you're here in Vegas be sure to check his show out at Bill's Monday-Friday 3,5 and 6:30. You'll be glad you did.

I was on my way to the Strip the other night and instead of stopping at a 711 or Walgreens for a Diet Pepsi. I decided I would just wait and buy it on the Strip. Well I know better, I paid $2.95 for a $1.00 bottle of soda. I know better but I had to have it. I should have just waited and bought an ice cold bottle of water for $1.00 from a local entrepreneur on one of the pedestrian bridges.
I was messing around taking a photo of my Diet Pepsi while I was at Caesar's Palace I thought it turned out pretty cool. It's also a reminder to bring my own when I'm wandering around the Strip.

I look forward to this every year, it's my own little sociology experiment. For example the demographic has changed over that last few years. It used to be that you would only see the fanny pack crowd. Today I have had many savvy shoppers, women carrying designer purses as well as the fanny pack crowd. Their transportation has evolved too, it used to be only the hooptys would come by but not the case any more. The last few years I've seen late model Lexus, Infinity and the latest Nissans.
So what is the common thread between these shoppers? They want a bargain!
Let's talk about my neighbors, they have even have furniture out and haven't sold a thing. You have to price to sell and be prepared to haggle. No room for sentiment, no one cares how hot you looked in that dress, or that you really loved that tea pot,nor do they care what you paid for something. This is about giving the people what they want...a bargain.
Update I just sold a curtain rod for 5o¢ I was asking $1.00. The shopper feels like she took me to the cleaners, and she did in a sense. She just helped clean up my garage!
So what have we learned? People from all walks of life have one thing in common they like a bargain. Come on no one likes to pay full price! The economy sucks but people still like to buy stuff.
Best sale of the day? It's a toss up between the moldy old lifesaver vest and the 23 year old Harley Davidson Tshirt! You decide.

Days like today and when I feel sad I know that when I get home I can always count on Suzie to help cheer me up and make me feel better about life in general. Maybe we should all try to be the person that our dog thinks we are for more than one day.

You'll find this sign Downtown on Fremont Street at the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino. This weekend is final Summer of Love Celebration. There will be plenty of entertainment on the Fremont Street Stages tonight will feature Canned Heat and tomorrow night Three Dog Night will be performing as well as Tribute Bands.
I think about the first time I saw Fremont Street which was 22 years ago today, when we drove up from Orange County to get married! It was an amazing sight, and even when I see it now 22 years later it's still just as amazing.
Happy Anniversary Larry, here's to double or nothing.

This was shot in RAW, I did not edit this shot, the only change I made was saving it as a JPEG file. Blogger does not support RAW files. So what does this mean? Well, this is the way the sunrise looked here in Vegas.

Do you remember the scene when he found the machine and wished he was a kid again? That scene was filmed at Rye Beach Playland, not far from where I grew up. I can remember making the annual trip there to ride the Dragon Coaster and the Monster Mouse over and over again.
Which leaves me thinking if I had one wish what would it be? How about you...one wish and only one wish what would it be?
Here's a trivia question, what Glen Close movie featured a scene with Playland's Dragon Coaster?

Do you remember the scene inside F. A. O. Schwarz? The one where he meets up with his boss and they play chopsticks on the big keyboard. Here is the big Trojan horse that graces the entrance to F. A. O. Schwarz right here in Las Vegas, inside of Caesar's Palace.
