Endless Possibilities
This shot is just before you reach Rachel, Nevada, which you can see on the left. We also have Larry setting up a shot who just adds to this photo. The Extraterrestrial Highway just seems to go on forever doesn't it? That's right we in the middle of the highway, not a soul in sight! It was eerily quiet.

Come on Get Happy!
It's been a rough few weeks for me, losing my Mom was phenomenal. When I saw this I thought this was apropos, time for me to dust off my lens and get back out there shooting and living again. That's what she would do.

Wasting Away Again in Margaritaville
Outside Jimmy Buffet's Margaritavile Cafe. The Cafe is part of the Flamingo on the Strip. Speaking of weather it's been quite windy, a sure sign of Spring! My theory has always been once the wind stops it's Summer and triple digits!

March Madness!!
20 years ago Coach Jerry Tarkanian l (Tark the Shark) led the UNLV Running Rebels to their 1st and only NCAA Championship in 1990. I became a UNLV fan that year and that same year was hooked on March Madness. I remember watching a UNLV game, all of a sudden these UNLV players surrounding 1 guy. What the hell was that I asked, Larry he said "that's the ameba defense." That was the moment I became a UNLV Rebel fan.UNLV has made it to the tournament 3 out of 4 years since Coach Lon Kruger has led the team. Coach Kruger has ressucitated an almost dead program. People are once again excited about the Rebels, thanks to Coach Kruger. The Rebels play tomorrow at 4:10 be sure and catch 'em.
Did I mention, this year I talked the boss into letting the office have a bracket pool? Yours truly is in charge. So it begins, March Madness! That's right the Big Dance, the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
OOOPS almost forgot todays photo is from the Santa Fe Hotel and Casino's marquee.

The Leprechaun & the Lass
Caught these 2 O'Sheas employees chatting in front of the casino a few weeks ago.Today is a big day at our house, it's Larry's birthday and well it's St Patrick's Day. I'll be making my famous corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight for family and friends before we sing happy birthday to the old man. How about you what will you do for St Patrick's Day? Will you down some green beer? If you do make sure you call AAA's Tipsy Tow 1-800-222-4357 and they will tow you home for free (within 5 miles).

Spring Forward
ser·en·dip·i·ty sÉ›rÉ™nˈdɪpɪti [ser-uhn-dip-i-tee]–noun
1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
2. good fortune; luck
That's exactly what comes to mind when I think of ALVDP. Today's photo is from Serendipity 3 at Caesar's Palace on the Strip.
By now if you live in the US (with the exception of Arizona & Hawaii), you will have set your clocks forward for Daylight Savings Time. Hence spring forward. There are 2 schools of thought regarding this time change. 1. You're either a pessimist and will have lost an hour of weekend, or 2. you're a photographer who sees it as having gained more hours of precious light, over the months to come! Guess which catagory I fall under?

Paris Daily Photo is the Blog that started it all. Eric Tenin's Paris Daily Photo turns 5 today. Eric inspired photographers around the world to show off their city, town or village to the world, one photograph at a time. Today's photo is a wall that I spotted while driving thru the new parking lot at UMC, This peek-a-boo shot was inspired by this PDP shot. (One of my favs!)To celebrate, CDP bloggers are posting "Teninesque" photos check them out here: Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Smack & Flick Shirts-All the Rage
I got such a kick out of this shirt when I saw it, in a Venetian Gift Shop. You can buy just about anything these days. This is a copy of the shirts that the "smack and flick" working stiffs wear on Las Vegas Boulevard. You know the ones that try to give you the "hoochie" cards as you walk along the Strip.I think they were only $16.95, I know it's cheesy but I sooo want one.
