Inside the Orchid Room

This year the Bellagio's conservatory' fall display included an orchid room. This is the last week for the fall display, the Bellagio will start to change out for the Christmas display on Friday.

Muhammad Ali's likeness on the wall at  Johnny Tocco's Boxing Gym. Tonight there is a big fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito should be a pretty good one they are fighting at Giants Stadium in Dallas.

24 Hour Tires

And they call NYC the city that never sleeps. This tire shop is part of a chain here in Las Vegas. A 24 hour tire shop has always struck me as funny. By funny I mean odd, however they must be doing ok since they seem to be thriving. This is the shop on the corner of Charleston and Commerce.

Happy Veteran's Day

For all of those soldiers who have kept us safe over the years, happy Veterans Day. Thank you for you service. There is a big parade Downtown later this morning honoring Veterans.

Time for Laundry

This is what I'll be doing today, but luckily I can do it at home. Gone are the days of having to go to the Laundromat,  saving my quarters hoping to get enough machines. What I did like about going to the Laundromat  it was that if it wasn't busy I could get everything done at once and be done with it for the week!

We Have a Winner...

It's finally over, the 2010 election is over! We have 2 months before the campaigning begins for the 2012 election. The Senate race between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle was by far the worst race I have ever experienced. I'm just glad it's over. As I write this post we don't have an outcome yet you will probably all know before me as I will be hitting the hay.

Election Day

Today's the day, one of the most highly contested political races here in Nevada will be decided. Will Senate Majority Leader keep his seat or will Sharron Angle replace him? We find out today. 

Theme Day

This month's Theme Day is Public Transportation. Unfortunately, Las Vegas really lags behind the rest of the country when it comes to public transportation. This is the Monorail that connects the Bellagio,City Center and the Monte Carlo.
